The Lite Years gigs mainly consist of private weddings and functions. However, you can keep up to date with all our latest news — including info on the occasional public gig — via our Instagram account. You can also listen to us here. We have a mixture of promo, studio and live performance recordings for your perusal.

The band hail from the suburbs of North-West London. Our gigs are predominantly within a 40 mile radius. However, we are open to the prospect of travel. “To infinity and beyond” and all that!

We aim to arrive 90 mins before the first set is due to start. That gives us plenty of time to set up and sound check. If you would like us to set up earlier, we are happy to do so for an additional charge. 

As it says in the name, we travel lite and don’t take up too much space – perfect for more intimate venues! For our Duo packages, we require a minimum of 4m2 and for The Trio package, 6m2.

We are happy to perform on a stage but it is not essential. All we need is a level piece of ground to set up on. We don’t want one of the band members rolling down a hill mid song!

We require access to a minimum of 2 x 13 amp sockets.

Ofcourse! You are more than welcome to use our PA system for speeches and announcements. If so, the band will aim to arrive 90 mins before the first speech/announcement is due to commence.

Yes. Our streamlined lighting setup covers both the stage* area and dance floor. If you are looking for an elaborate illumination show, we advise hiring in from elsewhere.

Yes. All of our equipment is PAT certified and tested. 

All members of The Lite Years are covered by public liability insurance and are members of the Musicians Union or Equity (Actor’s Union).

For all gigs, we ask that soft drinks could be provided. For evening events, we ask for the additional provision of a meal. This does not have to be the same offering as your guests! Just some sustenance to keep the energy levels up, as the band will have left mid-afternoon and won’t get home until the early hours of the morning.

The maximum number of sets each package offers is 2 x 1 hr sets. This is the general standard across the industry. Not quite what you were looking for? Not a problem. Please do get in touch with the team and let them know what you had in mind. We are all ears!

Between sets, we will ensure that music continues to play. This could be dancefloor fillers to laid-back tunes. You can even send us your own specially crafted playlist in advance.

We recommend a 20 minute interval. This gives the band enough time to eat and hydrate, but isn’t too long that it disrupts the flow of the event. However, as with most things, we are open and flexible to accommodate specific needs.

We cover tunes from across the years! From early jazz standards to the latest hits, our repertoire consists of heart-warming ballads, dancefloor fillers and good ol’ sing-alongs! Take a peek of our rep list here.

Yes! You can request up to 2 songs for the band to learn specifically for your event. This can be a first dance to the evening closer. 

PLEASE NOTE – The originals of some songs are heavily produced (lots of electronic or synthesised sounds) and might not translate so well in an acoustic set up. The Lite Years is made up of professional musicians. Whilst we are more than capable of making a song our own, we will never compromise on quality and are not afraid to level with you if a song won’t work!

If there is a song on our rep list that you either simply cannot tolerate or is an absolute must-have, do let us know. We will do our very best to accommodate any requests where possible. However, the decision on the final set list lies with the band. Over the years, we have learnt the art of building sets with seamless transitions, that make for a smooth experience.

In the unlikely event that a band member is ill or unable to attend, we have a roster of professional musicians we can call upon to step in.
